Yay! Nana came to stay with us a few weeks ago! What a fabulous time we had. And even though she was here for a week, her time with us seemed to go by in a flash, leaving us wanting more. We played and ate...and played and ate...went to the Children's Museum and a kid's concert...and played and ate some more.
Running around after the concert.
As usual, when Nana comes to town, we get to see much more of Uncle Collin & Aunt Shandy. We love it! Collin and Finn have fun...they like to goof around.
Finn gets his hair done. You'd never know it by the look on his face, but he actually loves this.
Buddies.
One night Clay and Shandy took to the kitchen, making handmade ravioli as we celebrated Nana's upcoming birthday. They did a marvelous job. Everything was delicious! We followed it up with strawberry cupcakes.
We had to bust out the 'Special Plate'
Rain fell pretty consistently during her visit, but as always Nana came prepared with books, art projects, and of course, her game face. Many games were played...checkers, dominoes, Star Wars Knock Over, and even new games that they made up! One surprise Nana arrived with quite possibly blew Koen's mind more than anything ever has in his four short years. She schlepped up a box of Clay's old Star Wars toys, including an X-Wing piloted by Luke himself!
Catch of the day! This was a cool art project that Nana taught us with special cut-outs, markers and a spray bottle filled with water! Koen now has an aquarium of fish hanging around his room!
Thanks for coming, Nana! We love you and can never get enough of you. We're already counting the days until we see you again!
