Hot and Dry, those two words pretty much sum up our summer so far. And it's so lovely without air conditioning. :) Come 4 o'clock in the afternoon, we'd rather be anywhere but in our own house. It's a bit of a brick oven.
You know it's a scorcher when your son requests pony tails to get his hair off his neck.
On this particular afternoon, we drove north to a public park that has all sorts of water works stuff to cool off in! I thought Koen might stand around and watch the other kids for a while, like he usually does. Boy was I wrong! He jumped right in and started playing! Maybe the heat had gotten to his brain already? He even found entertainment in chasing me around with his bucket filled with water. I actually preferred that he dump it on me so I could cool off (I wasn't getting too wet because I was wearing Finn in the Moby wrap). But I knew Koen wanted me to run away from him and his bucket, so I did.
Check this place out! He was a drowned rat in minutes!
