Farm Tots, Part 2

We hit the Farm Tots class at South 47 Farm again with our PEPS friends...almost a year later, and twice as many kids. The theme was "Lady Bugs". We made flowers out of tissue paper and pipe cleaners. Then we made a newspaper 'pot' for the 'mini-pumpkin' plant they gave to each child. Since our 'garden' is serving as Oscar's toilet now, we gave it to Uncle Collin and Aunt Shandy...they have a nice little garden!

Here we are taking the hay ride! This is the kids' favorite part of the morning, and wouldn't you know, the tractor broke down on the other side of the farm. So we all had to get out and walk back. Oh well. I don't think the kids knew any different.

As we left, we all got to pick a giant head of lettuce to take home! Let's just say, we've been eating lettuce all week, in one way or another!



We had to make a pit stop at the local creamery on our way home, of course. Mmmm...cantelope ice cream!



I tried to use the giant cow statue out front as a learning prop, showing Koen and Drew the udder and explaining how we get the milk we drink. Nothing but confusion on their faces. O.k. We'll tackle that one another day! :)
